The interdisciplinary forum dTHoR is conceived as a platform for exchange and networking for young scholars working in the Humanities. The forum wants to promote Open Access and critically discuss questions of digitalization in the Humanities. System-immanent barriers and international asymmetries in the access to research and information often obstruct researcher’s daily work. dTHoR offers a low-key detour. The aim of the forum is the cross-disciplinary and -cultural exchange in the academic field of the humanities – a field that is undergoing structural as well as digital transformation processes. Thus, it aims to discuss, for example, how empirical material for research in the humanities and social sciences is affected by such processes, but also the ways in which communication modes at large are changing. dTHoR as a network helps support the projects of its members as well as develop and implement collaborative concepts and organize regular workshops at different institutions and locations with individual topical foci.
